Access and transport

Travel with public transportation
The train ride from Bern to Brig takes only one hour and four minutes, thanks to the new Loetschberg tunnel. The Matterhorn-Gotthard train brings you from Brig to Fiesch. From there you can the the Postauto that goes via Ernen and Ausserbinn to Binn. In summer it also goes to the campground (Giessen, Camping) and Imfeld.

In summer (mid-June through mid-October) the «Bus alpin» bus service has two extra routes which are ideal for hiking in the region.

Travel with private auto
Via A12 and Autoverlad in Loetschberg, or the A9 from western Switzerland. In summer the Furka, Grimsel, and Nufenen passes can all be used.

The road to Ernen and Binn departs from the main road between Lax and Fiesch.
